Massive Sycamore
Down by the CT river, the buttonballs grow HUGE!
This 150+ year old tree had outgrown its welcome. It was situated about 25 feet from the foundation of the house. The homeowner begrudgingly had to have it removed. George felled the tree and we couldn’t wait to start slabbing this baby. This thing was so big, George had to split it down the middle freehand on-site so we could get it into the trailer. This log has some beautiful crotch figure and unbelievable rays like you have never seen!
